Parity started as a small band of hackers who preferred writing code to wearing titles. In 2022, I stepped away from the CEO role to immerse myself in protocol R&D, explaining that I'm "a thinker, coder, designer and architect" at heart. That deep work has borne fruit, shaping the next evolution of Web3.
Today I'm picking the baton back up. In late August, I'll resume my duties as CEO, as my co-founder and friend Björn Wagner steps down after three game-changing years at Parity's helm and nine years in total with the team.
In short: leverage. The architectural groundwork is laid and the market is ready; pairing vision with day-to-day execution from the CEO seat will let us move faster and accelerate the next phase of growth.
Under Björn's stewardship, Parity kept shipping through a historic bear market and expanded its reach to new industries and regions. His contributions have left a strong foundation and lasting impact. We're grateful for the leadership and momentum he brought.
Nothing changes day-to-day. Teams, projects, and plans stay on course. But the bigger picture is evolving and you'll start to feel that in the months ahead.
If you're ready to create something the world hasn't seen before, lean in. Whether you're launching a fresh chain, integrating web-scale workloads, or hacking on the tooling itself, Polkadot is your launchpad and Parity is the crew standing by to fuel the rocket.
Let's raise the bar together - onwards.
